With such concentration, there is little doubt that the Seniors in Typing I will increase their speed in their timing. Robert Nowak, Joseph Galvagni, Richard Cuddihy, and Robert Melesky work in the library on their re- search paper for English 4. Members of History 12 class locate materials for reports in the library. STANDING: Joseph Galvagni, Lee Thurber; SEATED: Veronica Peglow, Richard Cuddihy, Jay Warrick, Laurie Mitchell, Kathleen Gomian, Barbara Powers. 20 Dave Allard, Bob Melesky and Bob Nowak enjoy the challenge of Math 12. The topic of bailments in the Business Law class seems to bring up some question for discussion with Barbara Burns, Jean Hewson, Joan Jenuskevice and Richard Cuddihy. Margaret Rimkunas, Marie Toohey, Barbara Burns, Joan Jenuskevice, Car- mello Roberto and Christine Palmateer —the future secretaries of the Short- hand II class seem to take their dictation seriously. 21 All eyes are on Bob Melesky as he draws for John Stempek, James Sennett and Dave Allard a force diagram. 1st ROW top: S. Butkas, T. Keeley, G. Keegan, R. Ruditis, P. Luke, D. Shaw, M. Scarey, S. DeSacia, P. Rivard, K. Pappas, C. Fitzpatrick, W. Thurber, P. Ryan, S. Hoag, J. Buck, P. Wright, D. Morin, S. McDonough, C. Juniors, Colleen Fitzpatrick, Susan Nowik, Elizabeth Shiland, Sharon Hoag, Gary Kee- gan, Thomas Keeley and Stanley Butkas re- hearse their panel discussion for Sister Marianne Patrice. 22 A test in Business Arithmetic seems to pose no problem for Mary Calvin as other members of the class look on in anticipation. Math 11 poses a problem for Michael Scarey, William Thurber and Dennis Shaw. The Juniors work diligently at the Reading Lab. books in English III class. Birthday dates assume a new look to these Latin Three students, Cheryl Galvagni, Patricia Wright, Karen Pappas, and David Morin. 23 The members of the Bookkeeping I class seem to be in a thoughtful mood as Mary La Flamme is ready with a question. William Ellis checks to see if his work is centered correctly as Pamela Ryan, Susan De Sacia, and Robert Ruditis work to finish their typing assignments. 24 L. Ridler, M. Bogardus, E. Cullen P. Kennedy, N. Wilbrant, A. Guerin, D. Kenyon, D. Percy, S. Pappas, K. Banks, D. Fleming, E. Guiden, J. Schmigel, P. Hewson, W. McGeoch, J. Morin, W. Rasch, W. Stempek, G. Crucetti, D. Fleming, R. Greenwood, M. Shiland Leah Gorman, Kath- leen Kempf, Donald Fleming and William McGeoch with others of the Biology class appreciate Helen Nugent's leaf collection. 25 Perhaps James Morin, Lucinda Ridler, Sandra Pappas and Ronald Greenwood will have no trouble when it comes to reconciling a bank statement and a checkbook balance. Peter Hewson, Janice Schmigel and Michelle Bogardus listen as Deborah Kenyon reads a bit of humor. Lucinda Ridler and Kathleen Kempf recite a dialogue in French I class. 26 The intricacies of Purpose clauses are conquered by these Latin Two students. Sophomores hold a buzz session on newly selected history topics. Sister Marianne Patrice works with Betsy Cullen, Pat Shiland, William Rasch, Tony Butkas, Cecelia St. Hilaire, Gary Crucetti, Nancy Willbrant, Diane Fleming, and William Stempek. Constructions in Math 10 are simple for James Gorman, Meg Wirmusky, Claire Lukas and Joe Martelle. 27 1st ROW top: M. Warrick, J. Waitkus, G. Durkee, G. McAuliffe, J. Clancy, J. Sennett, M. Bums, N. Gorman, L. Murphy, T. Downey, L. Brandi, D. Luke, C. Bogardus, R. Squires, J. Pokines. In this little section of the Basic Mathe- matics class, the camera has caught Michael Burns and Lawrence Murphy at the board. Sister Teresa Agnes is guiding Gerald McAuliffe and Edward Fairbanks. 28 George Durkee, Curtis Bogardus, John Waitekus and Jo Ann La Mag- dale ine prepare for literary discus- sion of The Scarlet Ibis How much does it weigh? is the question asked by Joseph Clancy, Ann Marie Hyland, Mary Gorman and Louis Brandi as Daniel Luke prepares to re- cord it. Speaking in Latin and hearing onefs own voice are new ex- periences for Freshmen in Latin I, Martin Warrick, Mary Ann Roberto, Deborah Carswell, and Justin Pokines. 29 Thomas Downey, Kathleen Greenwood, Lynn Cuddihy and Neil Waytkus are found to be highly absorbed in their Religion I class. Sets cause Michael Blinstrub, John Sennett, Robert Medvetz, Stephanie Bromirski and Kathryn St. Hilaire to go around in circles in Math 9. 30 ACTIVITIES Ring Ceremony October 7, 1966 A Class ring is a symbol of educational achievement. Since the purpose of education is to KNOW GOD, it seems fitting that the class rings should be blessed. The blessed class ring is presented with the hope that it will be a reminder of the obligation of leading exemplary lives as a result of that education. Cherish the ring as something precious and wear it proudly. Do not give it away lightly for it proclaims all loyalty to your school. 32 Each year representatives from various colleges and professions are invited to career night to prepare our students with a greater background for the future. Sister Mary Sheila and Mrs. R. Hayden make final preparations for Career Night. c A R E E R N I G H T •±0 ! X X X 1 X X «X «X •T R. Nowak, Pres; J. Stcmpck, V. Pres; J. Hewson, Sec.jJ. Galvagni.
