OUR SCHOOL During our Freshman year, construction of the new high school division of Saint Mary's Academy began after the ground-breaking ceremonies which took place in May, 1959. We watched with thrilled interest the progress that was made, and in the early fall of the same year, we saw the cornerstone laid. A year later, almost to the day, we began our Junior year in our beautiful new building. In June, 1961, we witnessed the first graduation from Saint Mary's new gym, little dreaming how quickly the months would fly by, and how soon we, too, would be proudly receiving our diplomas. 8
