THE REVEREND GEORGE S. WALKER. O. S. A. The class of nineteen fifty-three wishes to dedicate The Academy Echo” to our Pastor, Father Walker, not only because of what he has been to us as a Spiritual Father and Friend but also in gratitude for the inspiration he has given us. Ordained in 1913, Father Walker was appointed Master of Professed at Villanova Seminary. Later he spent a year at St. Thomas, Villanova, and at St. Mary’s in Lawrence, Mass. For 27 years, Father Walker, as a member of the Mission Band preached the word of Christ throughout the United States. St. Augustine’s, Troy was his first pastorate. Before coming to Hoosick Falls, Father Walker had charge of St. Lawrence’s in Lawrence, Mass. For the six years that he has been our Pastor, his kindnesses were most abun- dant. We thank him for the many long hours he has spent in our behalf as an Alter Christus”, efficient administrator, tireless worker and true friend to every- one of us.
