.jgwolfa JKM The Second Annual Luncheon was held by the members of the Kwota Klub during May m Room 3002 The Committee in charge of the affair were members of the Transcription Class Roseleen Perkett Patricia Higgins Kathleen Walker Mary Wynn Elizabeth Bowen oan Usher Patricia Webb and Margaret Godsll At the luncheon members were required to Wear novel hats constructed from office materials typewriter covers staples stationery paper clips erasers and what have you practical nature a dictionary typing eraser carbon paper etc The aim of the club is to accomplish a definite amount of typing within a specified time Accuracy of the work IS of course the controlling factor Patricia Kelly and Brenda Brown received Certificates of Proficiency at the luncheon These two senior girls have shown exceptional ability and aptitude in ty pewriting during the course 510 Y , . . . . . 1 3 1 , Q 9 J Q a ' , . 6'lflflfL8l 6L The St Marys Academy Camera Club a newly orgamzed group thls year began explormg and learnmg the facts about photography under the dlrectlon of Mrs F B Lynch and Harold Hammond The Club ns sponsored by the St Mary s Assoc1at1on who generously furnlshed complete photography equxpment for the use of the club members Robert Breen was elected Presldent of the orgamzatnon Thomas Lawler VICE Presldent Ann Marne Gallegher Treasurer and Shexla Terry Secretary Under thelr leadershlp the club began projects 1n all phases of photography Among the projects the members have undertaken are monthly snapshot contests Each month a ddferent theme IS represented wnth the wmners rece1v1ng pomts to add to hls score Hand colormg prmts IS another project whnch the members enthuslastncally began Recently the group went on a plcture takxng Held trlp to Assembly Pomt Where many shots were made of the scenes 1n and about Lake George The ma1n project that the club has worked on mvolved keepmg a complete record of school act1v1t1es nn pncture form These and other projects have been zealously tackled by the Camera Clubbers To reward the student havmg made the most progress a golden lovmg cup donated by the St Mary s ASSOCIRIIOH and enscrlbed wlth the Wmner s name wxll be awarded Flrst second and thlrd pnzes of photographv equlpment wnll be donated by local camera stores We hope the Camera Club wlll contmue IIS fine progress 1n the future wnth best wnshes for success from the clam of S1 E111 , . .
