The purpose being: To further the reading of good literature and to solicit books for the library. The club is composed of Senior girls with Sister James Aloysius as our able adviser. The main activity is the sponsoring of Book Week Exhibit. We also conducted a danu. for library benefits. Our insignia is a pin of blue and white enamel lettered S.M.L. A guard '47 is attached. The future looked bright for these eager French students, and various activities were planned. To start the year off right, the club, after electing its otiicers, undertook to sponsor the adoption of a French child, and several projects were planned to raise the funds needed. One cool autumn evening many busy bees could be seen preparing the gym for an informal dance sponsored by the French Club.
