XVell no sooner was our Prom ox er w1th than along came Class Day It put a dent nn our pockets but we dldn t mmd because we could look for ward to our Semor year when we would be the guests of the Jumors The second week of May we went up to Brant Lake on our annual umor Semor P1cn1c Along towards the end of une we sent Bud Donohue and Lorrame Kelleher to Boys State and Gnrls State My how t1me flles Along came September and at long last we were Semors Now we would run the school But along w1th September came a new Regxme Although we dreaded lf at Hrst we were overjox ed at the wonderful rhmgs If brought us New clubs were organlzed under the guldance of M1ss Ave McGarrx better athletlc support and equlpment under the d1rect1on of Coach Beale and Father Delos plus our new Vxce Prmcnpals Mother Anna Laurentna and Father Turner and our Prmclpal Father Kelly all went together mto a new smooth runnmg school Those long awalted class electlons came up and we chose Bob Lynch Maureen O Connor 1m Cooney and eanne Ellsworth to head our class under the d1rect1on of our class advlsers S1ster Margaret Mary and Slster Euseblus B111 Sulhvan and Ann Helm chanrman of our Semor Ball helped Great Hall mto a scene of ghtterlng beauty In February Tony Fredella and Mary Irvmg were crowned Kung and ueen of our newly maugurated Wlnter Carnlval On St Patrxck s Day we were hosts to the faculty and our parents at a very successful tea Lo and behold what dld we find amongst us but a group of promnsmg poets For the HFSI t1me St Mary s entered the Nat1onal Poetry Anthology Contest and four of the gnrls Claxre Callahan eanne Phnlo Ruth Conhn and Mary Irvmg were honored Toward the end of March our class rlngs finally arrlved and were we Semors proud The Semor Play A Date Wlth Judy was a smash h1t and played to a capaclty crowd As most of our act1v1t1es begun to cease the greatest one of all graduatlon IS about to begln And now as we stand on the threshold of what IS beyond we leave as 1 legacy for classes that follow us the Splflt of fair play 1n everythmg And as a class we take that same Splflf wlth us ready to meet all obst lcles for the further glorx of dear old S M A Y . , . , . . . , . , . - . .
