The year 1958 will long be remembered, for we Philadelphians are justly proud of the honor His Holiness Pope john XXIII bestowed on our beloved Archbishop O'Hara in elevating him to the rank of CARDINAL. An important date in the history of our Archdiocese will be the red letter day of November 16, 1958, the day that Our Holy Father recognized the eminent qualities of our Archbishop and raised him to the Sacred College of Cardinals. Under the benevolent guidance of Archbishop O'Hara, our Archdiocese has flourished and will continue to flourish as a vineyard whose master has tended it with loving care. Iiaeh and everyone of us at Saint Mary's extend heartfelt congratulations and offer prayers on your new appointment. That Our Divine I.ord will shower upon you every possible blessing in your future undertakings is the fervent prayer we offer for you-JOHN CARDINAL O'HARA.
