As city slickers, the Sophomores initiated and entertained their country cousins, the Freshmen, with their version ot a Broadway hit. Put an eccentric uncle, a grasping family, an innocent maid, and a statue into one plot, mix vvell, and you have the Sophomares' mem- orable and tarcical concoction, Carnoutlage, Outfitted in their Sunday-best the Freshman blushingly gave a stunt-by-request floor show during retreshrnents, With the melody ot the school sang the party ended, the Freshmen happy in their acceptance as one ot us, Upper Group: Frances Wambold offers her interpretation of u Dawg Patch beauty. When farmers like Margaret Mary Collins, Jean Leidy, Grace Peterson, Jaan Collins, Eileen Beierschmitt, Mary Eleanor Fritz, Mary Martin, Joan Franz, and Irene Anderson come to town, what fun they have! With her daughters, Betty McKee, Julia Mudry, Maria Haines and Juliana McKee, Clare McMahon, as Mrs. Mc- Jerrald, discusses household finances, Kitty Wilkinson, as Mrs. Montmorency, the village gazette, creates consternation by announcing Uncle Jacob's impending arrival. Lower Group: lf this were Sadie Hawkin's Day, it's nineteen to one that Lil' Abner would be the laser. After Sally breaks Uncle Jacob's museum piece, Mrs, Mc- Jerrold develops hysterics as her daughters plot a solution of their disaster. Loretta Daly, as Sally the maid, under dire threats of the McJerrold daughters, poses as Uncle Jacob's statue.
