So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. The graduates of i953 include in their number the last group of boys to graduate from St. Mary's Academy. For more than a half century, boys and girls have graduated from St. Marys after four years of study and fun under the guidance of the Sisters of St. Ioseph. They have been edu- cated to face the world and to take their places in it as God-fearing citizens of a country where freedom and democracy reign. Since the Diocesan authorities have deemed it advisable to erect an all-boy high school in this city, these are the last boys to accept their diplomas from the hands of the Passionist Fathers in St. Mary's Church. May they go forth with an assurance that only a Catholic education can provide. l BU I
