V Shows Promise This year's J.V. Basketball team was a young one. It consisted of six sophomores and seven freshmen. They started the season off by winning all of their first four practice games. They rarely lost at St. Mary's, and had an overall record of 12 wins and 7 losses. They have a lot of potential and should be strong in the future. a. The faces in the crowd prove the excitement of the game. b. Lori Abraham looks determined to get down court before her opponent. c. Row 1 Jeannie Kitson, Colleen Faherty. I3 ues Capture Second SNIA went to State again and ended up playing Wilson for lst Kagainl. SIVIA returned with not one but two trophies: 2nd place for sportsmanship, and 2nd place in the tournament. The team displayed a winning style both on and off the court. The team worked very hard and deserved to go as far as they did, if not farther. It was a hne season, and the praise they drew from others around the state made it all worthwhile. a. Jeannie Ray shows her power as she refuses to let anyone pass her. b. The team is anxious to see where the ball falls. c. lVlo Clifford walks on air to put in another two points. d. The vast number of athletes at SNIA grows every year and, since everyone can not make lVletro teams, that means the intramural teams are getting better all the time. The games are a mixture of craziness and excellence that NO-ONE should go through her life without seeing at least once. a a. Mary English proves that seniors have style. b.
