The funds were raised for various needs ofthe school: athletic and music equipment, the newspaper and school activities. Those participating in the Jog-a-thon assembled at the Duniway track and were given a one hour time limit to cover as many laps as possible by walking, jogging or running. Students from Central, Jesuit, SIVIA and faculty, were sponsored a specific amount of money per lap. The estimated goal was S50,000. a. Linda Healy follows the straight and narrow. b. This production was extra special in the sense that it appealed to both young and old. People of all age groups were spellbound by Peter Pan's amazing ability to Fly. But most of all, they have fun. The newly formed Hiking Club explored the great outdoors. The Red Cross club's main projects were the two blood drives. The National Honor,Society had a car wash to raise money. The Pep Club promoted spirit and collected money at sport events. The Drama Club sold refreshments at both drama productions and supported the One Acts. Carol Anderson's Art II Classes began the mosaics last year as a bicentennial activity. The project was inspired by Sister Rose lVlarie Strassel who also arranged to have a new bronze sculpture of Our Lady installed in the niche opposite the front door.
