Foreword fxf In Christgs Apostolate In an age when materialism is the basis of society and atheistic philosophies abound, the Church calls upon its mem- bers to lead the world to a regeneration of a sound Christian conscience. It is the duty and obligation of every Catholic to respond to this call. To pool our resources in the Apostolate of Christ would have unlimited potential to guide men to a Christian way of life. Because the Apostolate of Clorirt embraces all the principles of our Catholic education, we have chosen it as the theme of our yearbook. We have been fortunate, for the instruction and the influence of our sisters and our priests has built a sound founda- tion for membership in an active Catholic laity. To become leaders in Christ's Apostolate requires a three step program-spiritual preparation, and application. All three have been included in our courses here on Mary's Mount. Daily Masses, the easy access to the Sacraments, our annual retreat, the constant reminders of God's Holy Presence, and the example of our teachers unite to help us grow spiritually unto Christ. Nothing humanly possible is neglected in our intellectual training. The sciences, the languages, and the arts are taught by teachers who have specialized in teaching. Opportunities for the application things to Christ in our school life be carried over into our adult life. let Christ down.
