4 em The Sensor Class of 49 before nt proceeds on nts Mary Way must pause and look back on those fond memories whfch at so warmly cherlshes Before we say farewell nt IS only flttjng that we should reflect a moment upon those four happy rndustrjous years which were spent here at St Marys In such worthwhjle dutnes ln September of 45 suxty sux green frrghtened llttle freshmen made theur ways up the long hull of St Marys The newness the beauty of It all was somewhat breathtaklng to say the least But wrth the help and frnendly guidance of the slsters and upper class men we slowly but surely adjusted our ways to hugh school llfe The flrst socjal event of the year was the Hallowe en party on October 26 The seniors In thelr tradntjonal ghostly garb were creeplng around making thnngs enjoyable but spooky for everyone On December Zl the juniors gave theur annual Christmas party whlch turned out most successfully The carols the games the tree the presents all added another memorable page In our hearts l946 came and wnth It those dreaded January exams However we struggled through and grade of the Mnghty Sophomore The fall of 46 came and wuth ut the sophomores We had lost a few of our former classmates but more jmportant we had gained more The gym walls were constantly ranging and resoundlng with the yells and screams of these gurls dnlngently earnmg their letter sweaters The comblnatjon of Caeser and geometry made condltlons In general a but more dlfflcult than the previous year but all was not work The play Lnttle Women turned out quite successfully and our dunner on the eve of the Junlor Senior basketball game just as well Tjme passed and we found ourselves on the threshold of a stall brighter year one filled wlth hopes soon to be attalned Something happened on that frrst day of school whlch brought unto vlew the reallzatlon of a long sought for dream Remember?
