President Announces Program of Scholars and Artists Dr. Thomas Gorton, Dean of the School of Music at Kansas University, contributed greatly to student appreciation ot the fine arts by his lecture on the importance of music in the liberal arts program. The cultural and intellectual life of the students is the main concern of the faculty. In their endeavors they are ably assisted by scholars and artists brought to the campus as part of the Lecture Series arranged by the President, Sister M. Cecilia. The Very Reverend Maur Burbach, O.S.B., an expert in his field, spoke on the changing liturgy as one sign of the vitality of the Church in the modern world. Father Burbach is a member of the North American Liturgical Conference. At present Father is head of the Benedictine monastery located at Pevly, Missouri. A delightful concert was given by Mrs. Jeanine Zenge of Fort Hays. The accom- panist is her husband, Michael Zenge.
