St. Mary's Cards won, 43-32. am coached by Mr. K.T. Faris had a very successful season. The two highlights of the season were the tournaments at Adrian, Minn- esota February 8, 10, ll, and the State Catholic tournament at Sioux Falls, Feb- ruary 26, 27, 28. In the Adrian invitational tournament, St. Mary won first place by defeatin Adrian 57-32. I th g n e Catholic State tournament St. Mary Cards felt .keenly the loss of their speedy player Donald Red Gannon who ha d been hurt in a previous game. The Cards drew a first round bye and defeated St. Patrick's of Lead to gain a place in the semi-finals. The Indians of Marty defeated St. Mary in a thrilling finish 40-41. In the game for third and fourth l p ace St. Mary lost to the Holy Rosary Indians. Don Fiegen, center, and Curt Anderson, guard, were chosen for the mythical All State Catholic second five. , w
