Appropriately we have chosen 'AThe Bells of St. lVlary's as our theme for the Renard- The Bells of St. Mary's Ah! hear they are calling- Yes. they are calling the faithful to God's majestic temple-St. lVlary's Church-calling those who are laboring and are heavily burdened. Yes. they are calling with jubilant song. The Bell:-' of St. lVlary's sound three times daily in solemn tones over the fair city of Menasha. announcing the Angelus. They chime reverent notes during Holy Mass, telling us that God has come down to earth. The bells sing forth gloriously on Sunday and Holydays-reminding the faithful of their sacred duty. Again, the bells peal forth a mournful dirge in respect for those who have gone to their eternal rest. Sweet bells, festive bells, mournful bells-all ring out tc praise the greatness and goodness of God. May the Bells of St. lVlary's be our guide in after years. ln our precious volume. The Renard we have portrayed in picture and writing the work of our endeavors and in its pages we have emblazoned the bells that keyed our spirit to successful manhood and womanhood.
