1959 VISTAS STAFF Not long after school opened in September, we members of the VISTAS staff met for the first time to make plans for publishing the pictorial history of the 1953-59 school year at Saint Mary Academy. Our ad campaign was launched. and the subscription drive followed. XY'hile business managers were busy with their part of annual work. literary editors were searching for a theme and dedication. Copy work progressed while the art staff sketched possible layouts and combined original ideas and suggestions. Photographers were kept busy taking snapshots of the latest happenings. XY'orking together during the year made the staff members realize the importance of teamwork. Creating a lasting contri- bution to their alma mater became the one aim of this years VISTAS staff. It is our sincere wish that the contents of the 1959 VISTAS will enrich your life as it has ours. Assembling an accurate record of the school 'year is a challeng mg task, but exciting and fun as well, assures Sheila Shine Editor-in-Chief. Betty Tolly. Arroriafe Eflifor, and Kathy Mobley, Plaofograplaer. check schedules for assignments. Both staff members snapped pictures for use in the yearbook. LITERARY STAFF. Turning out good copy takes time and effort. Looking for just the right word are Theresa Schmitt, Donna Downton and Susan Diersing, Literary Editorr. Congratulations to the 1958 VISTAS Staff who received the ALL CATHOLIC rating from the Catholic School Press Association.
