' Y Che Wniar 6711155 I Active in the governmental and social life of the school, the Junior Class h s been preparing itself to take over leadership from the graduating class of sit V, ' 4. Under the able presidency of Roy Benefiel the Juniors have advanced N' eadily, creating extra-curricular activity which has benefited the entire student ' ' ly ody. Q f TL Benenel was ably assisted by Leonard Rochon as vice-president and Bill y ,Kenney handling all finances and secretarial work. Jack Hutchinson and Dave y i Sweeney represented the class in the student council. l In the sports world many members of the class made the varsity football If squad this year, the notables being Art Miller. Roger Purkett, Roy Benefiel, Dave Sweeney and Bill Kenney. These players will form the nucleus of the I 'J , varsity team next year. Another promising man, here only part of the year, Q Xfwas Allen Bell of Longview. I p April 28th the annual junior-senior prom was held in the spacious Jade ' yi f Room of the Olympian Hotel, proving one of the social highlights of the year. if kd Pro osed by the Junior class, with Bruce Hodgert and Jack Phillips as coma P mittee chairmen. its theme 'The spirit of St. Martin's was very well portrayed.
