The hard fighting Saints got off on the wrong foot and went down fighting in their first game. But the loss had no effect except to fire up their spirit and determination which resulted in a winning su-eak of ten straight victories. The Saints rounded out their fine season with a 14-4 record, and some of these were over high-rated Medium Schools. The Saints knocked off their opponents, the Medwa and Island Fall e ' , Hy s t ams in the play-offs, thus earning for themselves a berth in the Eastern Maine Class S Tournament. In the semi-finals, the Saints ran into trouble with their shooting and were defeated by the smooth-running Ea ston team. This oeing their first appearance since the opening of St Martin's Hi h ust seven - S J years ago, Leonard Casey and his fine team are to be congratulated for fine performance and sportsmanship. oo' Nw-.. , . c ougall,Y M.Martin.
