qaahmenl These Freshmen enioyed the thrill of adiusting themselves to high school routine. Changing room every 45 minutes was indeed something new, and it did seem so grown-up as did studying maiors and electives: religion, English, Latin, general math., general science, Civics, physical education and music. This meant finding a voice in the life ofthe school. . . High school life truly meant growing-up both morally and intellectually, so they started out courageously in both fields. We're growing slow- ing but surely. Finally, the distinguished title of Seniors is on us. . . just what that means is for us to find out. Business gets under way. Class Officers are: President, G. Jacobs, V-President, C. Osborne, Secretary, J. Boutaugh, Treasurer, M. Dwyer. Blue and White will be our class colors. The Marian Year will inspire our YB theme. No smoking, boys! Father L'Heureux, the Athletic Director, stressed this basketball regulation. Fietter carry out those rules if we wish our victories to out- number our defeats. Cheerleaders: All Juniors! The uniforms are adiusted. And, what a fit! The Sodality held its first meeting this afternoon. Possi- bility of school unifonns was discussed, but not adopted. At last the Jolly Juniors got their class rings. We Sophis- ticated Seniors, know how they feel. Initiation. . . Those poor Freshmen. lt was a hard trial but it proved their good sportsmanship. It ended with our first social where the best costume won a prize. Four students represented S.M.H. at the C.C. D. Conven- tion at Lewiston. Namely: G. Tardyp J. Hines, J. Boutaughp M. Dwyer. 'Boy of Mine is selected as our Senior Class Play. The cast of characters is set. The Knights of Our Lady met to elect officers. They are as follows: G. Tardy, Prefectp J. Hines, Vice-Prefect, G. Jacobs, Secretary, P. LaPlante, Treasurer. The class photographer was here at 8:30 A. M. sharp. He has a lot of transfonnation to do in order to safeguard his good reputation. OFFICERS!!! OFFICERS!!! Those of the Study Circle are as follows: President, G. Frielj Vice-President, C. Osborne, Secretary, J. Boutaughp Treasurer, W. McDougall Mary Jean Yeo came back to graduate from S.M.H. The Senior Class welcomed her heartily. She hasn't changed o bit. Invitations and name cards are selected. Graduation day is drawing closer already. ER A movie on the life of Mary, showed by Father L'Heureux, was very appropriate and appreciated by all. The Senior Mothers' Club sponsor a Harvest Sale with marvelous results. The Yearbook Staff is installed on the iob. Will they out- live it? Columbus Day. A full 24 hours leave is a treat! Good News: A cut on the students' admission at the movies. Our first worries in the form of Report Cards. Some are glad, while others are sad. A Social organized and managed by the Juniors, and they did it superlatively. Patron Drive starts today. Who will be the lucky winner? Interesting Forum this A.M. on the duties of Catholic Youth. Game wardens Foster and Cyr gave us a talk on safety in the woods. -28-29 Teachers Convention. Why don't they have these more often??? We finally agree on the choice of our Yearbook cover. A beautiful immaculate Conception will adorn it. Halloween Social. Costumes provided chills and laughs for all. Prizes were awarded to the most original.
