December means every night after school to rehearse for the pageant February featured an elaborate exhibition on the Catholic Press On the same occa sion an education program was presented Assisting were the Pastor Curate teaching staff of the school and Miss Keily the Town Librarian JUNIOR YEAR Jolly Juniors, we say in spite of the sad fact that again some of our fellow students have faltered on the way We send up a silent prayer that they may see the Light just the same Book Week furnished us the opportunity to exhibit our dramatic talents An instruc tive program featuring Book Week Education Week Thanksgiving and A11 Saints was put on for the parents and friends of the school Christmas Pageant again' Our faces will certainly be missed when we graduate they ve been seen often enough on the stage SENIOR YEAR The final step toward the summit is now here TEN of US' D1scouraging'P Useless enterprise? Too few to continue 'P Old timers tell us that the first graduating class Twixt optimist and pessimist The difference is droll The optimist sees the doughnut The pessimist sees the hole So let s see the doughnut and despite our small number let s make this THE EVENT of our lives By Our DEEDS We Shall Be Known this our motto was constantly before our eyes It has been a very busy year In September occurred the election of officers Class Study Circle Cho1r etc We are now Sodality officers and even chairmen which means extra work but we enjoy every minute of it In October was organized a volley ball team with the boys from Stearns Someone has to lose and everyone cannot win all the time so we lost every game except one when the opposing team did not show up Consequently we are in third place If the boys lost earthly victories we were certainly on the winning squad when we Joined the Knights of Our Lady in December Victory will be ours always we have our Queen in the fore November and December brought the preparation of the two fold celebration of the 50th anniversary of the parish and the 46th anmversary of the ordination to the priest hood of Father Quinn our venerable pastor March brings Easter Spring but also Vocation Week A Brother of the Sacred Heart from Winthrop in an elequent speech enlightened our minds and moved our wills In April our acting potentialities were put into motion when we presented our Senior Play If compliments are not all lies we did pretty well And now the year has vamshed We scan the days and perceive the end A M D G . ,, . .. . , . 1 . , . .
