EMMET N. LARIMER Students at St. Mark’s know Mr. Larimer in many different ways. He is a genial giant in English class or Study Hall, a director of plays and chapel readings, and yearbook advisor. In appreciation of the time and effort he has spent as teacher and friend to the students of St. Mark’s, and especially for four hectic years work on the Marker, we dedicate this book to Mr. Larimer. Mr. Bolbach cutting birthday cake presented to him by the Senior Class. Bishop Watson, president of the Board of Trustees with Mr. Bolbach, head master. ADMINISTRATION At the beginning of the year, the most pressing problem facing Mr. Bolbach was how to fit one hundred students and their diverse schedules into severely small classrooms. The problem was overcome with ad- mirable smoothness, and so the school year began with rela- tively little confusion. Mr. Bolbach is responsible for the high quality of the St. Mark’s faculty, and must also cope with the daily problems of the school. The Board of Trustees is responsible for acquiring sufficient funds for the operation of the school. Board members often acted as informal admis- sion officers, interviewing pros- pective students. Bishop Watson, officially the rector of the school, presided over Board meetings. Members of the Board of Trustees meet with Mr. Bolbach and business manager, Mr. Raymond Gibson. From left to right: Mr. J. C. Landen- berger, Jr., Mr. Bolbach, Mr. Gibson, Mr. J. P. Gibbons, Mr. H. Ross Brown, Jr., Mr. Eugene Atwood, Mr. Sharf Sumner, Mr. Herbert D. Landes, Jr. Seated, The Rt. Rev. Richard S. Watson. Members of the board not in picture: Mr. Leon Jack Sweet, Mr. James E. Hogle, Dr. Wallace S. Brooke. ' -J 1 1 ’■ v- i V. ' .) 1 1 L P Page three
