Rev. Richard S. Watson Leon Jack Sweet Sharf Sumner Herbert D. Landes, Jr. J. C. Landenberger, Jr. James E. Hogle J. P. Gibbons H. Ross Brown, Jr. Dr. Wallace S. Brooke Eugene Atwood R. L. Bolbach It can not be said of the Board of Trustees that they are only names on a page. Our Board of Trustees are seen at every major activity of the School — Evensong, Father and Son’s Banquet, Baccalaureatte, Com- mencement. In addition they were involved in the life of the School in a special way this year as members of the cast in the Junior Play, “ Andersonville Trial.” Of course the true value of our Board will never be fully known to the student body — for they labor behind the scenes as the governing counsel of St. Mark’s School. DEDICATION The Marker, Volume Three, is dedicated to our Headmaster, Mr. Robert L. Bolbach, whose ardent devotion to duty has led us — often pulled us — through these past six years. Page three PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO THE CLASS OF 1962: For six years now we have labored together. When we first began, so long ago, not one of us would have dreamed we could have accomplished all we now stand for. In every area of our community we have gained in stature and respect, A large measure of credit must go to those of you who have borne the burden and heat of the day for these six years. In a very real sense you are the first of our grad ;ating classes, since you are the first to complete the whole term of years. The Members of the Board join with me in deep apprecia- tion for the high standard you have set, for the traditions you have established, and for the promise of your future education, which is now apparent. May God bless and gviide you wherever you go. Sincerely, S’- The Rt. Rev. Richard S. Watson, D. D. Bishop RSW :ml Page four FACULTY SARA CHASE B.A. Swarthmore College M.A.T. The Representative Council can be credited with a number of “firsts” this year. It spon- sored the first school dance, collected $75.00 for the Bishop Huddleston Fund, and established the procedure for the chartering of clubs. The problem of the mixed assortment of student attire was improved with the new blazers. Page sixty-one UNITED NATIONS CLUB U. N. ASSEMBLY The United Nations Club was formed early this spring, with the Model United Nations delegation as its nucleus. Officers elected were David Work, president; Pete Billings, vice president; and Rob McAlister, secretary. The club is basically a public service club, and in the future, the U. N. delegation will be chosen from its membership. Officers of the U. N. The music club attended the sym- posiums of the Symphony Guild to hear outstanding musicians. Several members of the club gave talks on various types of music. The club’s chief activity was the sponsoring of a concert of the Utah Symphony Orchestra for several private schools in the Salt Lake area.
