to be there, fell through the scenery, while the rest of us threw pretzels and soda at each other. We arrived next fall looking forward to yet another year of good times, however we soon came to realize we had a great deal of things to worry about, usually in the form of the college process, achievement tests and the SATs (and more SATs and more . . . ) We took a wonderful form trip with our new advisors, Ms. Desprez and Mr. Acampora to Newport for a shopping spree and a cultural tour of the city. The only thing we didn ' t think about was that it was Sunday and raining outside. Still, the year progressed, and some of us discovered the joys of the new campus; mainly hacking after study hall in the Ritz and staying up all night for physics roller coaster labs, and much more. Spring came to St. Mark ' s and so did outer space with our own original, amazing incredible V form dance. Mr. Acampora and Ted Bovey showed us their amazing climbing skills by scaling the ceiling of Benson auditorium, while the rest of us wandered around painting flourescent stars on everything in sight and wondering how on eanh we ' d finish it all before the dance began. The fall of 1988 and what we had waited three years for finally came. VI FORM. However, before we could settle in, we were rounded up for just one more trip, this time for a weekend of rough, country livin ' up at Brantwood Camp in New Hampshire. While there, we cooked meals for each other, shared shacks, and had a nice, quiet time around the campfire. Our stay there would not have been the same without the marvelous marshmailow fight between Tim Smith and the entire form and, of course, Bogart ' s hilariously amusing story of the candy bars ( On the corner of 5th and Clark . . . ) We welcomed our new headmaster Mr. Mabley (and showed how attentive we were in school meeting) by relocating his office to a more central location, namely Forbes Center. Although, we ' ve finally gotten used to all of our new found privileges, not one of us can deny that life is much better without study hall. Looking back on our four years here at St. Mark ' s we can be proud to say that we truly never let our schooling interfere with our education. 15
