THE BUS CAME BY AND I GOT ON, THAT ' S WHEN IT ALL BEGAN . . . We arrived in the fall of 1985 and before we knew what was happening, they loaded us onto a bus and sent us to Mt. Manadnok, in the first of many organized events we ' d be subject to during the next four years. On Groton night, while we hauled the captains to the bonfire, we ran into a ditch and unfortunately (He, He, He) the captains fell into a puddle of mud, sending terrified III formers fleeing in all directions. The dorm life in our little 111 form havens, on either side of route 85, ran as any other normal year, with usual torment from our VI form prefects (perhaps still holding a grudge from Groton night). Berzansky and Cutler were almost tarred and feathered when the VI form found their uncensored edition of the face book. During our last night in Coe House, we sent Stauff on a mission to find Jeremy Meltzer in the other hallway, both ol whom returned to find a massive wall of cushions and shaving cream. This was obviously too much for Mr. Garfield, who resigned as Coe dorm master after only one year with us. Alas, IV form came and we were no longer tread upon by everyone. Both returning and new IV formers alike, all got to meet each other on a beach, somewhere m Rhode Island, where a small group of devoted hackers discovered the wonders of the Hacky-Sack. Those of us lucky enough to be in Sawyer House had a great time with Rob Schmidt and his tormenting roommate from the South, Win Hartley. Mr. Danzigger kept us under close watch with room restriction almost every night (although Chris Tyler did manage to sneak some cookies and magazines out of his apartment) while Mr. Tabrisky just asked us: Guys, what the hell. ' ' harly on in the year, Ted Lyman was removed from the community, when he was caught out of his dorm, trying to make one last kill for the infamous school-wide game of Killer. Tim, on the other hand, defied the odds and avoided the repeated attempts of the SDC to remove him. As our form settled into the year, certain people like Marc and Robin excelled in their sports, while on the other side of the spectrum. Mo was cut from JV squash and forced to play Jerry Ball. By the time spring arrived we were looking forward to being V formers, but we engaged in one last fling of pure fun. at the V form dance, where Fuller, who was so excited
