LUMBERJACK THE 1962 LUMBERJACK SHOWER OF MEMORIES ' Presented by the Students of St . Maries High School, St. Maries, Idaho 1962 PREDICTING: SHOWER OF MEMORIES Wispy, winsome clouds gathering above can mean many things. To the farmer it can ' mean real butter to replace the margarine, or to a picnic, a holiday for ants. To April it means May, and to a cozy fireplace, attention and secur- ,-i, ' ity. But to the St. Maries High and Junior High Stu- Tt dent it means drenching him in studies, and sprinkling his time with activities. As the year has gone by, the showers continued, freshening and giving life, but never dampening spirit. Tlie 1962 Lumberjack then, sets out to reminisce with you and bring you your 1962 SHOWER OF MEMORIES. S. in 1958 with 71 students. With 1962 in mind we elected Butch Seelig President, Margaret Studer as Vice-President, Chuck Bradbury as Sergeant-at-Arms and Judy Ruggenberg as Secretary- Treasurer. Later Ronnie Russel and Connie Marquardt were elected Student Council Representatives. Pliil Spiesman was elected President of our Sophomore year along with Ray Matteson as Vice-President and Jeannie Whitehead as Secretary. Steve Lewis became Sergeant-at-Arms. In 1960 we became Juniors with Steve Lewis as President and Ray Matteson as Vice-President. Connie Marquardt was Secretary and Annie Krimm acted as Treasurer. Our Junior Class Play, Grandma, How Coulc. You , was a huge success, being directed by Ragnar Benson. During tliis fun-filled year we held our banquet and prom in honor of the seniors. Sharon Pugh and Bob Kruger were elected king and queen. The theme of the prom was Three Coins in a Fountain. Paul Greco and band furnished the music. Our motto was Today we search, Tomorrow we find. The prom was richly decorated in flamingo and silver, our class colors. Starting our Senior year, we elected Ray Matteson as President, Owen Adams as Vice-President. Linda Broadfoot and Dorothy McLeod were chosen as recording and corresponding secretaries, and Harold Porret as Treasurer. In December we held our Senior Ball, the theme being Enchanted Sea. Jana Wheeler and Ray Matteson were the royalty. We are now looking forward to our Senior sneak, baccalaureate, commencement and a successful future for all after graduation. 53 SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY So you ' re wondering what your future holds in store, mighty seniors? You ' re wondering what your fate will be? (Well we are too). But let ' s just make a few wild (?) guesses shall we?
