1 9 X ' rr enior Class Hi tory ln September of 1947, the population of S.M,l-l,S, was increased by 72 as the excited little frosh began their first year of high school. Joanne Seamanwas their PresidentgJeanSanguinet, Vice- Presidentg Marjorie Johnston, Secretary and Dolores Foster, Treasurer. Dolores Foster was also chosen Sweetheart of the class. Initiation proved to bc quite strenuousg during the ordeal they had to sandpaper the Sacred Cow. A party was given for the Seniors and they also sponsored a movie. To lead them through their Sophomore year they chose DonReidhaar, Presidentg Ixlerilyn Papenfuhs, Vice-Presidenrg Jim Emerson, Secretary and Dolores Foster, Treasurer. Bernadine Williams was chosen Sweetheart of this class. The Junior year found the leaders to be Jim Emerson, Pres- identg Dolores Foster, Vice-President: Merilyn Papenfuhs, Secretary and Sam Jacot, Treasurer. Merilyn Papenfuhs was elected Sweetheart of the class. Ten girls were admitted into the Pep Club. The class play, Handy Man, was presented very successfully. They also sponsored the Junior Prom and Junior-Senior Banquet. As high and mighty Seniors on the last lap of their journey, Dolores Foster was elected class President: SamJacot, Vice- Presidentg Bernadine Williams, Secretary and Betty Devoe Treasurer. Mr. Frazier was chosen as Senior class advisor. They sponsored the TinselBall on December 9, and pre- sented their cla ss play in March. The mighty seniors are look- ing forward to Sneak Day, Graduation, anda bright and hap- py future.
