Cum Amore Aunt Dotty; live-in Granny; tea drinking Nanny; someone who lets us curl up on her bed to watch T.V.; a mother to Thomas: the night watchwoman who locks us in and sometimes locks us out; the allowance lady; Hollywood swinger; grandchildren in Richmond and Ohio; someone who takes us to 7-11 and McDonalds at night; a well-read and cultured type; a housemother who posts numerous notes to remind and correct us; a very obliging Yankee anaid many southern belles (?); one whom we have come to love and respect as an elder yet confide in as a friend . Hannah Banana; a supporter of us in good times and bad times; someone who has believed in us from the eighth grade; an occasional saint who tolerated ink flicking, note passing, pen throwing, disco dancing, noise making, foot stomping, gum chewing and our numerous other virtuous charac- teristics that gave you tension headaches and ink stained clothing; a teacher of creative writing, poetry appreciation, Homer and Twain; someone who enjoys junk-food as much as we do and gives us parties on occasion; a very distinctive drawl and strut; a most amazing woman of great patience, concern, and maternal instinct. Libba; someone who loves frozen bananas and a man named Will; a very petite teacher with some not so petite pupils; a hungry stomach that growls during class; a very unlikely mad scientist; very strong but very gentle; a most understanding person who is always ready to listen; a teenager wearing knee socks, bean siders, and a Dorothy Hamill haircut; just one of us; a leader to twenty-six rather unlikely chemists wearing goggles and aprons; someone who gives us pre-vacation parties; a sometimes frustrated, a little flustered, little lady, when we do not understand or when the only answer w e have to Yes? . . . no? . , . you like? is a blank look, a yawn, or a drowsy nod.
