SCHOOL ST. CECILIA'S BUILDING The Wilson family, related by marriage to the McNairs, owned the large red brick building adjoining the Main building, as well as the three-cornered park across the street, which they gave to the city, and which is now Wilson park. The home became St. Cecilia's building and housed the music and expression deportments with their studios, practice rooms, and a concert hall. The music department offered a special certificate. Later, an addition to the west end of the building made room for scionce laboratories, and a larger cafeteria, but St. Cecilia's is still called the music building and still resounds with the efforts of pianists in various stages of development.
