By the juniors, Mary was named delegate to Girls' State to be held in June at the S ate Fair Grounds under the auspices of the American Legion Auxiliary. Patricia, os representative of the seniors, received an expense-paid trip to Volley Forge, Pennsylvania, where she accepted the Freedoms' Foundation Award for the exhibit prepared by her class as American history students under the direction of Sister Basil. Catherine's essay, Congratulations, A. O. H.l won first prize in county, stote, and national divisions of tho Irish essay contest.
