Vocations—Avocations Special for seniors only is the yearly Vocations-Avocations Doy held this year on March 25, Feast of the Annunciation. In keeping with the Feost was the theme of the day — Behold the handmaid of the Lord. The doy began with Holy Moss celebrated by the Reverend Walter Le Beau in St. Margaret's Academy Chapel. After Mass, Father Le Beau, who teaches courses in Christian Marriage at the College of St. Thomas, spoke to seniors on the vocation to the married state. (Top, left) Father stands with Mary Kummer and Dolores Eckes. Top, right Patricia Coulombe and Anna Mrsich look over the progrom with Miss Margaret O'Connor of the Minnesota Business College, who discussed secretarial courses. Lower, left Miss Kathryn Schultheis, social case worker for Travelers' Aid, gives Gwen Beach and Adrienne Lijewski some preliminary tips on social work. (Lower, right) Hostesses Kathleen O'Malley and Irene Blass serve refreshments to Miss Joanne Blanz of St. Mary's Hospital, who described the work of an x-ray technician. Other speakers on the program were: The Reverend Harry J. Towey, Incarnation Parish, who spoke about the vocation to the religious state; the Reverend David Roney, Basilica Parish, who gave the concluding tolk ond ended the day with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament; and three department heads from the College of Saint Catherine—Sister Ann, who discussed teaching,- Sister Agnes Leon, who with a panel of student nurses reviewed the nursing profession,- and Sister Annette, whose topic was Catholic Higher Education.

Sister Julie is faculty adviser. Yearbook staff members consult about the Senior Dayesye. Behind them, associate editors-Mary Alice Lang and Mary Ann Jaeb study plans; and Helen Sammon and Eileen Potter, editorial staff members, prepare to type copy. Faculty advisers are Sister Alissa Marie and Sister St. Teresa. The Dayesye business crew draw out receipt books to handle financial accounts for the senior memory book. Ready for business are: standing) Donna Roth, Bonnie Moll, Mary Frost, Rita Lorsung, Barbara Bailey, Georgianna Kopp, Gerry Miller, Kathleen Siede, and Lorraine Michaels. Grouped around the desk are: Rose Ann Fisher, Rita Kelly, Carol Fitzgerald, Audrey Galas, Mary Kummer, and Joan McCarthy.
