Pope Pius XII iPapal Bull proclaiming the Holy Year of l95Oi Here is our challenge. lt is a call to arm against the foe of secularism that threatens to destroy the peace of Christ in the Kingdom of Christ. Our basic training here at St. Margaret's Academy prepares us to answer the summons of our leader, Pope Pius Xll, to eFfective militant service. As weapons in the combat we learn to make use of the truth and power of the Gospel. Whence comes this power? As members of the Mystical Body we shall be as strong as the bond of charity which unites us to Christ and to each other through sacramental grace. How shall we discover the truth of the Gospel? If the truth we seek in our classes whether religion or science or art, leads us to a greater knowledge and love of God, then that truth will be power. How can we develop this power? By daily practical application of the principles of the Gospel we will defeat secularism and re-fashion all things in Christ, in the words of the Holy Father in his PAPAL DIRECTIVES FOR THE WOMEN OF TODAY -the great secret of winning others, is above all, to give them evidence that for a Catholic her faith is a solid and living reality XJLJ ln keeping with our theme we have laid out the contents of this Yearbook of T950 according to the following headings Introduction Qur Leaders Student Body Union in Christ Classes Activities THE Rl, ,fs sw, uest for truth Faith in action CLASS Pae Pae Pae Pae f ffl' ,. df K ar, gtg' gn- ,9-' aw, 1 'wifzglfzg 4 is r-t'f s5'4q AF- 'hy :gg 'LL QQQT 9 Q, 'A K, s F Y, nr! .-33' 'sen ga Writ' '- W -1 + ,fy 'ry 4 up ,Q H agar!
