MHC A retace WE, THE SENIOR CLASS, have chosen the life of St. Margaret of Scotland as the theme for our book in an attempt to further the knowledge of her valiant life and to instill a greater devotion to her, our regal patroness. In reply to a letter to Scotland seeking information about St. Margaret, the Reverend David McRoberts, author of St. Margaret, Queen of Scotland, states: It is with very great pleasure I learn that St. Margaret is held in honor so far away from her own country. May the DAYESYE and St. Margaret’s Academy long prosper and spread the knowledge and love of St. Margaret. . .”

Dedication t-Q, ueen TO OUR PATRONESS ST. MARGARET, QUEEN OF SCOTLAND, valiant woman and benefactor of the poor, we, the Senior Class, dedicate our 1948 DAYESYE and also . . . TO MOTHER MARY BERTRAND who has been the inspiring factor in inculcating the growth of the Christ-life in us, do we dedicate this book. She has been ever vigilant in holding to the course which will make us truly Christian women, and through her tireless effort she has succeeded in integrating our academic and extra-curricular activities with Christian philosophy.
