Worship services for the pa- tients are offered each Sunday morning and on religious holidays by Hospital Chaplain Warren Bentzinger. Kiwanians act as “‘pushers’’ to bring patients to the Austin Memorial Chapel while others that desire may hear the broadcast through the bedside radios. The lovely strains of organ music are rendered from the elec- m4 tric organ, a gift of the Senior Women’s Board. Chaplain Warren Bentzinger The library is found to be a key spot in the nurse’s education. Such a wealth of knowledge is found in the text and reference books while a “‘browser”’ can find much of interest in the popular magazines and novels. The library is under the supervision of Miss Rocena Stockwell. Miss Rocena Stockwell, Librarian Say Ahh — Our health clinic finds itself especially busy when those viruses hit the residence. Miss Kathleen Davis Mrs. Leota Crowther Our receptionists act as ‘second mothers’, being on duty all hours of the day and night. Mrs. Crowther and Mrs. Cooper, our regular day and evening reception- ists, have been with us for over five years. Mrs. Croft is the regular night receptionist while the alternates include Mrs. Sharp, Mrs. Campbell, Mrs. Middleton, and Mrs. Nicholls. 10 Residence Staff Our Residence Director, Miss Davis, having served our students since 1948, has seen many of us come and go. She has shared in our joys and sorrows. To her we owe many of the thoughtful deeds and happy residence life during our three years. . A newcomer to the residence family is Miss Rainey serving as Recreational Director. Many qualms on our Christmas gift list were answered by the craft program she initiated. Interest in the program grew to such lengths that it was offered to the hospital personnel also. Miss Sarita Rainey Mrs. Jessie Cooper
