Class election was were chosen. 1Thus cessful career for We participeted'in parody on the sons and tribulations a held, and the officers and sponsor besan what is hoped will be a suc- ancther class of nurses. our first social event by doing a HDo I Vorryn, forecastinv our trials s probies at a welcoming party given for us by the upper' classmen. A tea was given for us by the Auxiliary Ladies, and the class attended a party at St. Johnfs Cathedral during the course of the next few weeks? Our class had the usual problem facing it of how to raise funds. We solved this by serving breakfast in bed to anyone who wished to dine in luxury on Sunday morning at a nominal fee. Another meager source of in- come was our shoe cleaning project. Anyone with a nickel could get a super-deluxe cleaning job done on two pair of duty shoes. Our was and first attempt at entertaining Us rest of our school done at Halloween. By diseuisinp the lower halls the recreation room with luridly painted newspapers we managed to create what we sincerely hoped was a very spooky atmosphere. Entertainment consisted of several skits depicting probie life as we saw it and ranving from UYoung Love 50 Years Aeon to Whinnie the Moocher?. Following said proaram refreshments wer: served and the room was filled with the pitter-pattor of so many hun- dred fect beztinp out the rhythm comin: from a piano and an apple-box drum.
