M, at the Blue Hills Black Angus. This was the first honor bestowed upon the Senior Class of 1960. We were again honored by the St. Luke's Alumni with a banquet held May 21, at Wolfei-man's Restaurant. What banquets they were and they will long linger in our memories for years to come. Graduation day, May 23, 1960, began with 7 AM chapel in the hospital. After chapel we went to the main lobby of the hospital and hung the Senior Composite. This was followed by a breakfast given to us by the faculty of St. Luke's, in the recreation room of the dorm. The faculty had cleverly decorated the room. The main attrac- tion seemed to be a poster with each of our pictures posted on it that we had sent in with our application forms for Nursing training. The faculty dressed in their ideas of what a waitress should wear served us a delicious breakfast. After breakfast we seniors went over to the hospital for Graduation Pinning. The pinning of the doctors, nurses and hospital personnel was a way of express- ing our thanks to them for their guidance and help during our past three years. We were greatly honor- ed that day by them for wearing our senior ribbons. The climax of our graduation thrills was our Graduation held that night at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral. .S ' S .LY GRADUATION FOR THE CLASS OF 1960 The climax of three years preparation toward becoming an R. N. for the class of 1960 was the graduation exercises held May Z3, at the Grace and Holy Tri- nity Cathedral. The words of the address given by the Rev. Dr. Wm. M. Beachy wereg held by each senior as she received her diploma from The Rt. Rev. Edward R. Welles, S, T. D, , D, D. Bishop of West Missouri and was presented her St. Luke's pin by M. Jeanne Stickels, R. N. , Director Of Nursing.
