It has been rumored that Connie Bradley, famous commedianne and whirling dervish of stage, screen, and T.V., is contemplating marriage. Good luck on the sixth try, Connie. janet Lord has made her mark in aeronautical history by circumnavigating the globe three times non-stop. just goes to show what a girl with ambition can do-we always thought she would be satisfied to be just an airline hostess. Marlene Nordyke has attained fame in the field of nursing with the introduction of the Nordyke Plan For Painless Orthopedic Nursing - painless for the nurse that is. We see in recent headlines that Norma Cossins has purchased the Katz chain of drugstores. Could this be to assure the future employment of her better half? Ellen Scherer is now feature pianist at Carnegie Hall and confidentially is really in the chips. Seems her hubby realized her talent and sent her out, to bring home the bacon. Phyllis Young, who made her fortune in a Wisconsin cheese factory, has recently purchased the St. Louis Cardinals. All the better to keep track of that certain guy, eh, Phyl? A Jane Allen, who has just completed a most successful five year run in the Broadway hit I Was a Spy For the T. S. O. , has returned to her nursing career for a well de- served rest. We hear via the grapevine that Pat Elwell, who washaving difficulty getting along on her nurses' salary, is conducting evening classes for young millionaires of marriage- able age in the art of wooing and winning. Frankly, we suspect her motives. Willie Lageman is now sole owner of a modern helicopter field - has a guided tour of the city which includes certain sunbathing areas! Patsy Kehr is quite happy in her new-found field of missionary work in New Mexico. CAh, loveb Babs Bunnell has only recently completed training -- present at her graduation exercises were hubby and their five lovely daughters. ' What determination! Pat Brunner is now the U.S.'s leading nutrition consultant working for the world- famous Ptomaine Food Company which is headed by Joan Thomas. We wonder just when these two learned to boil unscorched water! ' Ramona Laquet still holds the title Mrs. All American Boy. Must be wonderful to be married to a famous personality. She recently said nix to a contract in Holly- wood as stand-in for a famous swimming star. Bev Hill now tips the scales at a mere two hundred pounds - guess Wally must be a pretty good cook. That's the latest - oh, by the way, congratulations to you, Brownie, and your co- workers, Norma Berry and Jeanne Prollock on the opening of your new hospital. I hear it's a brilliant theoretical success - guess it will be really exciting when you get some patients. As ever, Your friend U Report as given above was submitted to the chief. Schrader continued her studies and is now a leading surgeon on Mayo's staff. Her speciality - removing old scars. Lida Chepil is now serving her fifth year as American minister to Canada. Old home ties, you know. Lou Nally has retired from nursing to devote full time as district manager of the Wearever Company in K. C. You've heard, of course, her sales staff is made up of Popps Nally and their six little red-headed Irishmen. Noni Rigdon is now chief instructor of swimming at all the Y.M.C.A.'s in the greater Mid-West area. ' Joan Layman is now contractor for government housing around all Naval bases. We've heard that her nursing education is something of a handicap to her -- seems she insists on putting a bedpan washer in each unit. Gloria Kellett is now on a speaking tour in the U. S. Her subject is Combining Marriage With a Career. She has also devised an infallible marriage contract for stu- dent nurses - Oh! those hidden clauses! Lila Lake reached fame for her invention of the Jet-propelled apple picker - she got the idea from her association with a jet ace. Em Tokheim, tennis champion, has just embarked on a round-the-word tennis exhibition tour. As far as we know, there's no lace on her panties. Sally Cressman just graduated cum laude from the famous school of medico-law, where her husband is now Dean. Her specialty will be workman's compensation for .tired nurses. Ann Downing is now modeling wedding gowns at Dac's Tenth Alley in New York. Ned Preston is still following her favorite love - just published a book on Pe- diatrics Made Easy. Quin Wray who was voted, Our Bachelor Girl,', is married and has five children - guess she decided to start her own Pediatric service. Joan Eyler has devised a successful plan for modern farming on a fifty foot plot of land. The idea occurred to her while sunbathing on the sundeck at the nurses' home. Bev Frost has come into her fortune by sending her three sets of triplets out into the world modeling the various baby articles. Kathy Kohler is now a famous woman tugboat captain. She got tired of chasing her Navy careerman husband up and down the river and has since made a profitable business of her travel. Susanne Hammond couldn't quite swing the deal of buying a house so settled for a trailer house and has rented it to six lovely but broke nurses. Dola Howard is now safety inspector of all baseball sand lots. Could this be due to a certain incident which took place at a certain Student-Faculty baseball game?? Barb LeGrotte is now following the equator around the globe on a marathon bicycle trip. She can be seen in the newsreel at your local theater. Delores Stiglmire has changed the color of her hair and is now starring in Holly- wood's latest hit, Panic This is a success story of a frustrated nurse. Many of her old friends feel that the new hair color doesn't do a thing for her famous freckles. Trudie Groce is now the owner of the exclusive Trudie,s Riding Academy and keeps in touch with her nursing career by administering first aid to her clientele.
