A++er his shining debu+ in baske+ball, Coach Cummings will again guide +he Purple and Whi+e , as +hey s+ruggle +hrough +he baseball campaign. His kindly unders+anding and whole hear+ed in+eres+ have won for him a place in +he hear+ of every boy and girl a+ S+. l.uke's. Games have already been scheduled wi+h S+. Mary's, S+. The boys loughl hard bul lhe compelilion was loo greal. The leam aller losing lhe opening game lo Sl. James ol Newarlc by a score ol 29-20 also losl in lhe consolalion round lo Sl. Aloysius ol Jersey Cily by a lune Ol 25-24. The rosler included Thomas Driscoll and James Kosch al lorward, James Rawl al cenler, while Joseph Kennedy and Jaclc l-lannon held down lhe guard posilions.
