The play was a splendid piclure ol American home lile and deall wilh lhe domeslic problems, malrimonial dillicullies and polilical ambilions ol The famous Hardy lamily. ll combined wholesome lun wilh lhe more serious aspecls ol life and conlained a praclical moral lesson which appealed lo old and young.
