JUNE PHILLIPS 1 EDEN W Most Likely to Succeed Most Dignified You're the Doctor was chosen for our Junior Play. All action took place in a rest sanitarium. Sometimes the cast felt as though they should actually be in an asylumafter practice had lasted until after eleven and there was plenty of homework yet to be done. The six foreign accents called for in the play also caused plenty of confusion until they were finally mastered. We had fun arguing, planning, decorating and attending the J unior-Senior Banquet and Prom. Old fishing corks, candles, bouganvillea, palms, pink and blue clouds and silver stars overhead, and a beach scene carried out the South Pacific theme. For the Prom the Armory was decorated to represent a jungle by the use of Australian pines. Little wooden animals and balloons were hanging from the fish nets which were used for the overhead decoration. Higgs served as a second CommunityyCenter. Traffic jams occurred when people circling to see who was there met others going in the opposite direction for the same purpose. There was a mystery centered about the boy who jumped out of the window of Mr. Eyler's homeroom during guidance period. We united quite well in keeping his identity hidden. All the seniors were in the Auditorium for a while. When one homeroom left, there were still enough people for someone to start the daily dash by shouting, The bell's rung! For the fifth time our stunt won a prize-another first! Two Defective Mysteries showed the way different members of a family reacted to the screams of terror and plead- ings of the victims in a radio murder. Most of us decided it was terrible to have to leave just when we reached the best part of school, but then we realized we would not be forgotten soon because of the things we were leaving behind: Our Stunt Night Record, our fame for being original, and our pride in hav- ing wonderful publicity for our dances and plays. And we'll always remember when all of these things, and many others too, made up our life as a part of the Class of '51. - 1 - -le -J :ie -. a i.-.4.-..s-an .. A. ADE
