The Business and Professional Women's Club sponsors this Girls' Honor Society and lends its assistance in helping them to promote school improvement.

Scharfschwerdt Dear Diary: lt is a great honor to be chosen by the faculty as a member of the National Honor Society, for the four qualifications required are: scholarship, leadership, character, and service. With lvlrs. Scharfschwerdt, the sponsor, the organization is studying the history and Constitution of the Society and planning worth while activities for the second semester. A formal initiation is held in the spring of every year in the Audil torium. The Society was started in l946 with eight charter members and has steadily grown ever since.

H arold Supank l Dear Diary: The Key Club of Fort Pierce High School was organized March 28, l945, It is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club and is for boys elected from the tenth through the twelfth grades who have an average of C or above. The main objects of our most active organization is to develop initiative and leadership and to serve the school and community. Some of the Key Club's projects that have been carried out and have proven helpful to the student body and faculty are: the building of the basketball and tennis courtsg the remodeling of the High School Officeg and landscaping of the East Court.
