MRS. ANNA F. BACKER. Your Memory, Mrs, Backer, will live in the beautiful school your gener- osity has made possible, but it will also be treasured in a nobler shrine--in the hearts of HYour Boys of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. A song in our life is now ended, but its melody will linger on forever. It is a sweet melody har- monized out of the happy memories of our youthful days, of our Alma Mater, and especially of that lovely and magnanimous spirit of yours which made it possible for us to advance this distance on the road of cultured manhood. We thank you publicly-not only to honor you, who Well deserve but do not seek recognition here-but also to honor ourselves by giving a public testi- monial of our appreciation and gratitude. The Class of 1936.
