ORGANIZATIONS and ACTIVITIES THOMAS F. McQUEENY, S.J. Dean of Student Affairs EDMUND C. TOOMEY Dean of Men 12 THE DEANS MISS NANCY RING Dean of Women Youth is an unripe time, a green period of growtli tliat slowly yields to the in- fluence of a benign maturing. From the give and take inherent in student organ- izations and activities, one is gradually persuaded toward possessing the confi- dence of maturity. Personalities , strengthened by the abrasion of contacts — religious, social, academic, athletic — are better prepared for exercising effective roles in life. This surely must be one of the reasons why the University presently maintains some hundred and thirty organizations. An excellent example of organization, competition, and social life is the whirl of Sadie Hawkins Day, presented by Kappa Beta Gamma.
