The year just ending has been a happy and . 1 i True no great outstanding pictures remain in memory to remind us particularly of brilliant success in any phase of the year's happenings, its days have run on marked only by the endo-wing generosity and toil that have characterized the story of the century during which St. Louis University without faltering and without fear has given itself to the work of Christian education. . ashes out from the record of the year that is Yet, while no light of special glory ll ch that fills the hearts of us all with deep felt passing, there has come to the University mu gratitude. ' Our departmental schools have been crowded to full capacity and the record of the work done in all of them is q of students and professors alike in the years of our centuryg our friends have been eager to prove the sincerity of their purpose to co-operate with us in our Endowment Fund projectsg we have built the imposing addition to our School of Medicine which makes for all looked for expanson in the futureg We are just about to beginithe erection of our new Law School and of our new Dental School, and last we have the superb donation that makes possible the new High School which will, it is hoped, be ready within another year to throw open its splendid facilities to the ever-growing throng of junior students eager to enjoy the advantages of preparatory training with the protecting influence of a uite in accord with the success that has crowned the work University as well known to fame as is our own Alma Mater. h May the blSSSing of God continue to pour in upon our Mother, proud of the Crown 5 6 bears, Pf0UCl Of the years she has lived and hopeful for the years to be.
