KAIMUKI STUNNED Two games gone the Saints finally hit pay dirt at the ex pense of the erratic Kaimuki eleven As far as the thrills and chills of the gridiron are concerned this was perhaps the t game th ILH all y Kaimuki made the irs touchdown of the game but the Crusaders tied it 6-6 early in the second quarter Taking the Bulldog punt that Dickie Taken had blocked on the Kaimuki 3l speed Freddy Kauhane took the ball and galloped through right tackle With 90 seconds remaining to be played the contest was still a dead lock Quarterback Charlie Hall stepped back to pass and let loose with two passes to glory the first to Ed Aguiar for 28 yards the second to Freddy Kauhane who made an im possible catch on the Bulldog IO Hall then handed off to AI Ota instead of passing again Ota scooted through a gaping hole opened by Walt Kaohu and Richard Taken for a touch down and a I2 6 victory FARRINGTON EKES OUT SLH Despite tremendous odds in power and speed St Louis managed to put a scare into Farrington before the Govs eked out a hair raising 2013 victory The Maroon n White found the going tough until a key fumble recovery started them on their way to a two touchdown bulge The Govs boast ing one of the best all around backfields in ILH history discovered it difficult to contend with the determined Red n Blue spirit Noel Grays I9 yards pass to Al Ota for the first Saints TD and Howard Peraltas neat reverse good for 32 yards and which set up the other Crusader tally exemplifies that spirit Others were equally out standing, but in the end it was the Governors overall power and speed victorious over the Crusaders' determination and drive Deuelapecl Banking ' CRUSADERS BOWS TO KAM One the basis of their time showing in the past two games the Crusaders went into their encounter with Kam a slight favorite. After taking the opening kickoff, the Saints generated a tremendous offense and scored in three plays. A Noel Gray pass to Walt Kaohu covered the final 25 yards. Soph, halfback Howard Peralta ran over for the con version to make it 7-0 in favor of the Saints. The Warriors faced with the prospect of a fourth straight loss, suddenly showed their offensive muscles as they struck for two quick, muddy TDs for a T2-7 halftime lead. The Warriors stunned the 2000 rain-drenched fans with their awesome power in the second half as they rackep up three more fast ones for a 307 lead. The Crusaders with offensive sparkplug Fred Kauhane out with a knee injury and hindered by Blue 'n' White de fensive men like Yates, Gouveia, and Sing, failed to mount any offen sive threat for the remainder of the contest, leaving the score at 30-7 I I- - bes in e l ear.
