Iiiben. 9 BROTHER ADOLPH EIBEN S M Q1880 19589 Seldom it IS that the man of vision 1S endowed with the perserv erance and drive to see his vision an accomplishd fact Brother Eiben was such a man an individual who truly merited his title The Build Across half the sweep of the world schools now stand from Puerto Rico to apan in shlning testimony to his rare abilities More than thirty years ago Brother Etben climbed the forbidding slopes of Kalaepohaku and saw the vision that was to be St Louis He left the Islands in 1930 after having firmly established this institution On August Z5 1958 he returned to Kalaepohaku Behind him lay four more Marianist schools which he had called into full development and he had chosen to spend the last quiet years of his life among the people he loved most One month later to the day having carefully inspected the plans for the future development of St Louis and Chaminade he climbed our hill for the last time He had found a resting place on a rock overlooking the campus There Our Lord called him. He died as he had ln ed looking into the future. To his memory we dedicate this 1959 CRUSADER. They who in- struct many unto justice shall shine as stars in the lirmament of Gods Kingdom.
