affif Louis Striving for better quality rather than quantity, the St. Louis Collegian, the fourth estate of Kalaepohaku, has surpassed it's former standards to become an out- standing iournalistic publication. When the fourth estate changed hands in January, new blood and inspiration strolled in. Harry Goya took the editor- ship from Dick and ordered the is presses rolling to give the school his ideas. Albert Perez, assistant editor gave Francis Wong his reins, while the remaining sen- iors bowed out. Um' Parent-Teaclzer Gu After an initial year of trials and tribulations, the St. Louis Parent-Teacher Guild has achieved a prominent rank in the history of St. Louis College. With a successful start, the PTG endeavored to reach greater achievements. This year they have surpassed any previous records by acting as the brains behind our past carnival which captured the limelight in '53. During the scholastic year, they at- tracted attention with their colorful Aloha Week pageantry, a delightful Christmas party and the never-to-be forgotten carnival, As the second chapter closes for the PTG, it anticipates a brighter and more glorious future in which to serve the family at St. Louis College. Collegian The sport department, the most popular section was efticiently engineered by Norman Suzuki, who at this time retired to the coming generation in the person of Allen Yin. With pictures playing an increasingly important role, Stanley Wong, senior shutterbug, lived up to every- one's expectations and also pass- ed his pack to iunior, Joseph Kau. Always with sparkling dollar signs in his eyes, but a politician at heart, Samuel Luke, a veteran Business Manager of 2 seasons explained tthe economic ropes to Wallace Ching.
