rs fa Slqme n Freshmen recite the promises of a sodalist. During the last period on every other Wednesday, a stranger on the S.L.C. campus can see the various groups of freshmen scurrying to the different classrooms set aside for their Sodality meetings. These young men group together, purposing to follow the virtues of their patroness, thei Blessed Virgin Mary. Besides trying to better themselves as individuals, the sodalists strive for the betterment of the: school as a whole. This they do by giving good example. All activities are under the careful surveillance of the fresh- men sodality moderators, Brothers Joseph Yax and Francis Nakagawa, who figure prominently in providing a sound foundation on which the character of their charges is built. But the Crusaders sur- vive, and that fact can largely be attributed to our helpful and efficient library staff. Under the management of Brother Charles Cum- mingsmith the staff represents the most indespensible aid to any student. The duties of the staff are many, but with workers like, G. Paresa, G. Yap, W. Chee, J. Lendio, J. Kau, R. Burns, R. Young, A. Kort, V. Tom, L. Medeiros, V. Frei- tas, H. Wong, there is no doubt why our house of knowledge is kept so orderly and efficient.
