' t The St. Louis R.0.T.C. regiment and Drum and Bugle Corps on review. .Z 0 ' Back in March, the St. Louis unit marched at a special review staged at Wheeler Field, This was the Civil Air Patrol review, Along with their other activities was the annual Ball held at the Maluhia on February l7. The JPO's, the Rifle Club, and Student Usher Corps were maintained by the R.O.T.C. department. Credit for all this fine work is due solely to the Major and his capable as- sistants, Sgt. Joseph Silva, Sgt. Gottleib Cole- man, and Sgt. Clarence Silva, who handled the aforementioned functions. R.O.T.C. is a required subject for all stu- dents except band members in the sophomore and junior divisions and optional for seniors. Cadets meet three times a week for lectures, classroom instructions, drills and receive a half credit for their endeavors. Armed to the teeth, these cadets formed the special detail Geel Leseee! lncidentally, Alberto, according to Emily to patrol and direct traffic at the annual R.0.T.C. Ball. Sadddg af Me Vnmmmlate 762901 Wing Upon return to school the Sodalists began to make plans for their Centenary Year, Holding the inaugural meeting in late September, the Sodalists began to lay their plans. Due to the schedule, meetings had to be held after school but this did not hinder attendance, With the tour moderators, Father Sherry, and Brothers Fien, Zapp, and lmmethun, each divisional sodality has progressed through the months toward their goal, to give tilial piety to the Blessed Virgin. Among the prominent religious activities undertaken by the Sons of Mary were First Friday Mass and Com- munion, promotion of the rosary during October, at- tendance at daily Mass in the school chapel, novena in preparation tor Founder's Day, singing of the Chaminade Day Mass and the spread of Catholic Literature, Let us thank the Blessed Virgin Mary for the graces and benefits bestowed upon the sodalities and sodalists of St. Louis College through her intercession to Almighty God. The Junior Sodality at a weekly meeting.
