Under the direction of Brother Charles Cummingsmith, Librarian, the staff, totaling twelve members, endeavers by the performance of varied functions to put the library at the disposal of the student body, Checking returned and borrowed books, shelv- ing, keeping the magazine shelf in order and up-to-date are a few of the many duties performed daily by the staff. For an effic?ent and up-to-date library, the student body owes much to Brother Charles Cummingsmith. Attractive posters and novel displays testify to Brother Charles' patience and diligence in making the library a more delightful abode. Orchids and many thanks to you, Brother Charles, in appre- ciation for your constant and disinterested service. With new blood in Howard Wong, Gordon Yap, Jesus Lendio, Arthur Foster, and Francis Picadura plus old standbys Albert Naqai, Robert Martin, Wallace Chee, and John Kua- pahi, this year's staff continues their work of service to the Student Body. This fundamental institution, while not directly included in the school curriculum, is nevertheless a vital cog in the functional machinery of the student. Without the cafeteria's nutritious and well-cooked meals within our system, it is doubtful whether we would be much inclined to apply our- selves to study of any sort.
